Islamabad – The Government of Pakistan has launched the Prime Minister Laptop Loan Scheme 2025, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at making laptops more affordable for students, freelancers, and young professionals across the country.
With rising technology costs, many young people struggle to purchase devices necessary for education and online work. To address this, the scheme will provide laptops on interest-free installments, allowing individuals to pay gradually without financial stress.

How the Scheme Works
Under the program, applicants can apply for laptop loans in three categories, with financing ranging from PKR 150,000 to PKR 450,000, depending on the type of device selected. The repayment plans are spread over several years, ensuring small and manageable monthly installments.
Who Can Apply
The scheme is open to all Pakistani citizens between 18 and 35 years of age. Eligible groups include:
- University students
- Freelancers
- Young professionals
Preference will be given to applicants from low-income families, while government employees are not eligible to apply.
Required Documents
Applicants must apply online through the PM Youth Program portal and upload the following documents:
- National Identity Card (scanned copy)
- Recent photograph
- Proof of income (or guardian’s income)
- Educational proof (certificates or university admission details)
- Freelancers: profile links from platforms like Upwork or Fiverr
