Speaking at the event, Mr. Zhang Qingfeng, Vice President of the China Fruit Marketing Association, said that China the world’s largest fruit consumer market considers Pakistan a vital supplier of high-quality mangoes. He noted that the Pakistan-China mango trade partnership has made significant progress, including:

✅ 50% faster mango delivery through cold-chain logistics, reducing spoilage.
✅ Use of Chinese preservation technology and processing equipment to enhance value.
✅ E-commerce sales reaching 50,000 kg/day with a 98% customer satisfaction rate.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi emphasized Pakistan’s ambition to double mango exports to China within the next five years. He also announced that the Embassy will host a B2B investment conference on September 4, where the fruit and vegetable industry will be one of the priority sectors promoted for deeper trade collaboration.
The Mango Festival not only celebrated Pakistan’s “king of fruits” but also reinforced the growing potential of agricultural trade between Pakistan and China under the spirit of mutual cooperation.
