Heavy monsoon rains in Islamabad and Karachi have disrupted flight schedules, forcing several cancellations and long delays. Both domestic and international travelers faced uncertainty.
Karachi airport saw the worst chaos as heavy rainfall and low visibility led to cancellations of flights to Quetta, Sukkur, and Islamabad. International arrivals were also diverted.

In Islamabad, flights from Guangzhou, Dubai, and Jeddah faced hours-long delays. A private airline plane attempted landings twice before returning safely.
Airlines like PIA, Airblue, and Fly Jinnah advised passengers to confirm flight status before leaving for the airport, stressing safety as the top priority.
The rains have also battered Karachi city, where flooded roads, electrocutions, and collapsing structures claimed several lives, worsening the crisis.
In northern Pakistan, flash floods triggered by cloudbursts swept through villages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing hundreds and displacing thousands.
With monsoon rains expected to continue into September, authorities warn of more delays and urge citizens to prepare for extended disruptions.
